I am enthusiastic about strategic, results-driven web development and enjoy being a part of the wide-ranging business ventures of our clients. As a developer, I maintain a broad skill-set that is weighted toward front-end development. I am responsible for designing and building much of the user interface and user experience aspects of our web sites. This includes working with HTML5, CSS/LESS, JavaScript, PHP as well as Creative Suite. Additionally, I provide web analytics and keep up to date with the latest SEO strategy.

WordPress Custom Theme Design and Programming

A blog and guidebook-style website with an AJAX-driven interactive map for exploring WordPress posts corresponding to different map areas. Also includes an interactive trip planner, WordPress shopping cart, and Mailchimp integration.

WordPress Child Theme Development

Our client came to us with beautiful magazine-quality photographs and a high-end designer who had vision for a WordPress based website and needed our programming expertise to make it happen. We built this site as a modification of a pre-built theme -- we made style adjustments to fit the designers vision, updated problematic JavaScript, added custom templates, and made the theme easier to manage by adding automatically updating custom widgets, automatic thumbnail retrieval from YouTube and Vimeo, form-like metaboxes to ease content editing and custom post types to help organize information.

Deliverables: WordPress Child Theme, JavaScript and PHP Programming including an updated light-box effect for galleries, custom templates, widgets and shortcodes, additional metaboxes and custom post types.

AJAX WordPress Custom Theme Programming

We built this portfolio WordPress theme with unique AJAX retrieval of pages and posts for seamless navigation and a slideshow-like experience throughout the website. The site is smartphone and wide-screen compatible and the content areas of the site are all editable through the standard WordPress dashboard.

Deliverables: AJAX based WordPress Custom Theme with a resizable full-page content slider, bookmark and back/forward navigation compatibility, and graceful degradation for JavaScript disabled browsers.

WordPress Custom Theme Programming

Our client needed us to turn his flashy design into an easy-to-manage website. We built this site with modern JavaScript effects, MailChimp integration and custom search functionality. On the back-end we used custom post types, metaboxes, automatic HTML and JavaScript formatting and automatic cross-posting to Facebook and Twitter to simplify and streamline his frequent site updates.

This club's webmaster needed a site that could be easily updated by many different users (coaches, volunteers, organizers) with exclusive editing access to different content areas. We built the custom theme with tight control over user access and a unique simplified updating process for each user-type combined with extensive written and video instructions to facilitate updates by various users and prevent headaches for the webmaster.

We turned this playful design into an extensively animated blog and e-commerce shop with prominent prompts for social media interaction, a full-featured and easy-to-update dashboard and a fully branded shop with a custom display of product information and automatically generated up-sell and cross-sell displays.

Website conversion to WordPress

We converted this site from a static HTML/PHP based site to a complete custom WordPress theme. The site's owners liked their site design and didn't want anything to change -- they just wanted to be able to manage the content themselves. To site visitors the new site is completely indistinguishable from the old site -- the only difference is that the new site is manageable through an easy-to-use WordPress dashboard.

A graphic designer approached us with an impending deadline and a mock-up that had proven too challenging for the original developers. We provided rush service to turn this design into a custom WordPress theme utilizing custom post types and other theme features that allowed it to be updated easily without having to see code.

WordPress custom theme programming with ZeeMaps integration

This is a directory website that is integrated with a ZeeMaps interactive map. Starting from scratch, we integrated ZeeMaps into a custom WordPress theme and utilized custom post types and metafields to easily manage entries.
